What is "The Patriot Games"?

The Patriot Games is a Series of Fun 3.1 Mile (5K) Races with 18 challenging obstacles for Thrill and Fun Seekers. Participants will compete at their own pace to conquer the games to the best of their abilities!!! Fun for Everyone and all ages. Finishing The Patriot Games is more about mental thought and toughness than being in great shape.

What will I receive?

One LARGE beer is included for each participant who is 21 years or older. Be responsible- do not drink and drive.

What should I bring?

A change of clothes is recommended, as the course will be muddy...hence the name "mud-run." Also, particularly in the case that it is very hot, you may want to bring extra water (Water will be provided throughout the race and to runners immediately post-race.) Additional clothing. merchandise, and food and beverages (including water) will be available for purchase on race day. Most of all, bring Running Shoes and Enthusiasm to have a great time!!!

What should I wear?

There is not a designated dress code for the event, but we recommend comfortable athletic wear and sneakers for race participants. Of course, since it may be cold, hot, or rainy weather, please wear appropriate clothing Costumes are also welcome, so get creative, get excited, and have some fun!!! Keep in mind what materials may weigh you down or be uncomfortable when wet. Awards will be given for the best costume! * Costumes and clothing must be appropriate for general public content (aka, no nudity).

I'm not in good shape. Can I do this?

Finishing the Patriot Games is more about mental toughness than being in great shape. While The Patriot Games does pose a challenge worthy of bragging about, it is made for individuals of all fitness levels. At the event, you may be competitive as you choose, but the ultimate goal is to finish and conquer the course!!!

Is "The Patriot Games" safe?

Certainly there are some risks involved in every Challenge, but we take every precaution possible to get you to the finish line safely. There will be paramedics, ambulance, and security on site in the unlikely and unfortunate event of an emergency.

When is the post-race party?

Beer will be served upon completion of the first wave until 2 hrs after the final race or until the music stops. The Patriot Games will open with music and continuously play until closing.

I can't swim. Can I participate in The Patriot Games?

Absolutely. You aren't required to swim in any race. Any body of water you'll be traveling through is only three to four feet deep.

What if it rains?

That means more Mud!!! Game on!!!

Will there be water along the way?

Yes. There will be one water station at the half-way point on the course to keep you hydrated on your journey!

How long is the course?

The Patriot Games adult race will be approximately 3.1 miles (5 kilometers). The kid's race will be approximately 1 mile (1.6 kilometers).

Can we compete with teams?

There's no team division, but you're welcome to Dash with some friends to help you through the obstacles. We will be promoting team challenges. Stay tuned!

How do I train for The Patriot Games?

1. Day one: run as far as you can. Go home. Day two: do the same thing.
2. Find the dirtiest pond in your neighborhood and snorkel in it--in your slippers, without goggles. 3. Practice your climbing skills at your local jungle gym. Ignore the small children and parental glares. Seriously, though, your best bet is to do plenty of running leading up to the race. Ankle weights (to the weight you are capable of) are recommended for wear 1-2 weeks before the run, around your ankles, with sneakers on. This helps your muscles get used to a heavy object and whenever you take them off...well...you'll see your improvement! (Proven for previous competitions). This is just a suggestion. You do not need to do this, but prior athletes felt as if it worked.

What's chip timing?

A chip is a miniature transponder in a specially designed housing, marked with a unique identification number corresponding to each runner. When a participant passes the electronic equipment at the start and finish, your individual time is automatically recorded.

Are there showers available after the challenge?

There will be hoses to help you wash off the mud, but no actual showers will be available on site.

Do you accept mail-in entries?

Sorry folks, this mud-a-runnin' is for online entries only.

No pets are allowed

What is packet pick-up?

Packet pick-up is where all participants must "check-in" and pick up their packets. Your packets includes your race bib with safety pins, your chip timer, and your t-shirt.

Please bring the following with you to packet pick-up:
1. Your Photo ID
2. An initiated, signed, and dated copy of your participant waiver. No one will be allowed to compete or enter property without a waiver. No exceptions. Click below to download. Copies will also be available to sign at packet pick-up.

Can I pick up my friend's packet?

Yes, but you will need the following three items:

1. A copy of your friend's photo ID.
2. A signed note from your friend stating that you are allowed to pick up the packet.
3. A signed copy of the participant's waiver. Click above to download.

The Patriot Games is open to participants 3 years and older for the 1 mile run. Kiddos under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. For any participant under 18 yrs old on race day, your parent or guardian must be present during packet pick-up to sign a waiver and release for you. If your parent is unable to be present at packet pick-up to sign the waiver, (please click above to download the waiver). Race packets and materials must be picked up on-site. They will not be shipped to participants.

I'm terrified of a specific obstacle. Can I still participate?

Do your best and take help from your fellow runners to complete all obstacles. In order to be eligible for prized based on race time. you must complete all obstacles. However, you may bypass an obstacle if absolutely necessary.

Can I transfer my registration?

Sorry, no refunds under any circumstances. You are allowed to transfer your registration until the modification deadline. (Check your region's page for the deadline.) Simply fill out our form under the contact us page with the following information before the deadline: * Name of participant who is being replaced *New participant's name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, birthday, gender, and t-shirt size.
